Caro Sergio, dear Sergio
we are a group of young Italian physicians and healthcare professionals, engaged in various capacities in the care and management of patients with diseases of the veins and lymphatic vessels.
Although we belong to different phlebological associations and societies across Italy,
the intentions expressed in this letter are intended to be cross-cutting and do not aim to form a new group or society.
The purpose of our letter is pragmatic and arises from the need to work together for the good of our patients and of research in the phlebo-lymphological field.
First of all, we would like to express our most heartfelt congratulations on your election as president-elect of the UIP. We fully understand that this election is a privileged opportunity, not only because for the first time there is an Italian in the presidency, but because, knowing you personally as well, we know that you will be able to work in the unconditional interest of phlebo-lymphological culture, starting from your important clinical and society experience.
Secondly, we would like to express the willingness of all of us to support you - in the ways and according to the inclinations of each of us - in the task of the presidency, through the most active possible participation in the events / congresses proposed by the UIP or by other organisations you may indicate to us. To this end we have already taken note of the call for abstracts for the UIP congress next September in Miami.
It will be our priority to submit abstracts, in the hope of our
participation.
In these few lines, we hope to have conveyed our closeness and involvement.
