On 13 February, Gianesini delivered a lecture on appropriateness in the treatment of varicose veins during the prestigious annual congress of the Pan-Arab Society of Interventional Radiology. In that setting he also represented the World Union of Phlebology, of which he is president, promoting synergy between the various medical specialties for the correct management of patients affected by venous insufficiency and/or alterations of the lymphatic system.
